There is now a requirement for you to indicate if Japanese knotweed is present on your land when filling in the paperwork to sell your house. In most cases to satisfy the lenders, a survey report and management plan detailing our course of treatment are all that is required. We will treat the Japanese knotweed on your land with herbicides, making use of our advanced injection and weed wipe techniques to protect your valuable plants in the infested area.

Wherever possible we will use chemical treatments. This method is relatively inexpensive and effective as all treatments are carried out on-site.

We use this method to prevent the spread of contaminated soil. However, the treatment usually takes a couple of growing seasons followed by a couple of years of monitoring to ensure that the probability of regrowth is negligible. In some cases, a quick solution is required.

We can arrange excavation, installation of a vertical barrier and recycling of the weed material both on-site or off-site, whichever is required, by our reputable qualified contractors under our direct supervision.

Local authorities are major owners of properties and land across the UK. However, due to the huge amount of work and often a lack of funds they are unable to respond rapidly to the problems associated with invasive weeds.

Meanwhile, there are many large areas of the land belonging to local authorities infested with the top-three undesirable weeds in the UK, including Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed and Himalayan Balsam.

Our treatment options rely on the application of herbicides, we make use of spraying and injection as these are the proven most cost-effective and efficient options available. Other options based on physical removal will be employed when necessary for Japanese Knotweed and other weeds.

Wherever possible the injection technique is preferred, this is because it does not cause severe damage to the surrounding vegetation and wildlife.
